Tonight I FINALLY got the 50 Haunted Bones I needed to purchase the staff and doll that I wanted from Hollowed Woods. I've also summed up the Small and Large Bones that I've accumulated to give a ball park to all of you who haven't gotten all of your Haunted Bones as to how much you may need to grind.
My most recent Skull Chest put me square at 50 Haunted Bones. Everything before that put me at 19,325 Small Bones and 1,850 Large Bones total. (1 Haunted Bone per 387 Small or 1 Haunted Bone per 37 Large).
I did have several chests that spawned too high and out of reach so that may have fudged the numbers slightly but it is what it is.
I'm sure RNG is a big part of this but these numbers are my personal experience. I hope this helps and good luck to you all plundering those elusive Haunted Bones!
